General Instructions<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Authors must ensure that manuscripts are submitted before the deadline indicated for the respective issue (see the \u201cCall for Papers\u201d section on the journal website). Submissions received after the deadline will not be processed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The journal publishes manuscripts <strong>exclusively in English<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Manuscripts should be submitted by email to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"mailto:rus.craiova@gmail.com\" class=\"autohyperlink\">rus.craiova@gmail.com<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Submission and Publication Fees<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Revista Universitar\u0103 de Sociologie<\/em> applies a <strong>moderate editorial processing fee of 40 EUR per accepted article<\/strong>, intended solely to support editorial administration, technical editing, online publication, and long-term open access availability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Payment of the fee does <strong>not influence editorial decisions<\/strong>, which are based exclusively on scientific merit and relevance to the journal\u2019s scope.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are <strong>no submission fees<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The fee is requested <strong>only after acceptance<\/strong>, following peer review.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After submission, authors will receive a notification (approximately within one week) regarding the general eligibility of the manuscript, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>correspondence with the aim and scope of the journal;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>compliance with the Author Guidelines and formatting requirements.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Scientific quality is <strong>not evaluated at this stage<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If a manuscript does not comply with the Journal Guidelines, it will be returned to the author for technical corrections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If, after resubmission, the manuscript still does not comply with the guidelines, it will be rejected and the author will be informed accordingly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Only manuscripts that fully comply with the journal\u2019s formatting and reference requirements will proceed to peer review.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>B. Manuscript Format<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>File format<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Manuscripts must be prepared using Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Language<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>English only.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Use standard English quotation marks. Double quotation marks should be used, except where \u201ca quotation is \u2018within\u2019 another quotation\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Page layout<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Page size: B5 JIS<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Margins: 2 cm<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Line spacing: single<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Font: Cambria (Body), 11 pt, justified alignment<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Length<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Minimum: 3,500 words<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maximum: 8,000 words<br>(including tables, references, figure captions, footnotes, and endnotes)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Submissions outside this range will not be considered.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Title and author information<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Title: uppercase, Cambria 13 pt, centered<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Below the title, include for each author:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>full name<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>institutional affiliation (University and Country)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>email address<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Abstract and Keywords<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Abstract: 150\u2013250 words, English, Cambria 10 pt, italic.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The abstract should briefly present:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>purpose<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>research field<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>methodology<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>main results<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>conclusions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Keywords: five keywords, English, separated by semicolons (;), Cambria 10 pt italic, placed below the abstract.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Structure<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All section headings and subheadings should be numbered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Tables and Figures<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>All tables and figures must be numbered consecutively using Arabic numerals.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Titles\/headings should be centered and placed above tables or figures.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Leave one line between heading and table\/figure.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Data sources must be indicated below each table (Cambria 10 pt, italic, centered).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>References cited within tables or figure captions must appear in the reference list.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Figures<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Figures must be high quality:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>1200 dpi (line art)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>600 dpi (grayscale)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>300 dpi (colour)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Accepted formats: JPEG or GIF.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>C. References<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>(1) In-text citations<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Use author-date citation style.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Examples:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>(Giddens, 2000: 93)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Giddens (2003, p. 93) argues that\u2026<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Multiple references:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>(Giddens, 2010; Smith, 2012)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Two authors:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>(York and Glenn, 2012)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Three authors:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>(Giddens, Glenn and York, 2012)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>More than three authors:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>first citation: list all authors<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>subsequent citations: first author + <em>et al.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>If multiple works by the same author in the same year are cited:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>(Giddens, 2000a)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>(Giddens, 2000b)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Online sources follow the same citation rules as printed sources, including URL.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>(2) Reference List<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The reference list must include all cited works and appear at the end of the manuscript.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Requirements:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>alphabetical order by author surname<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>numbered list<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>complete bibliographic details mandatory<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Examples:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Book (one author):<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ogien, A.
